Sophia Grippo is Legal Counsel at BMDW Advocaten and as such assists the lawyers in their day-to-day work. Sophia mainly assists with issues in both national and international sports law, including matters at the KNVB, FIFA and the CAS. In addition, she also assists in drafting transfer and representation agreements, employment contracts, termination agreements and commission agreements.

Background

Sophia studied at the University of Amsterdam and obtained her master’s degree in Private Law. During her master, Sophia gained experience within sports law. Sophia followed the course Labour and Sport and did an internship within the legal profession. Her interest in sports law also follows from her professional sports career in tennis. At BMDW Advocaten, Sophia specialises in national and international sports law, focusing on issues within football.
