Just now our colleague Frans de Weger was officially appointed as the new president of the Association for Sport and Law (VSR) during the annual meeting of the Association. In doing so, he succeeds Mark Boetekees (KNVB), who was the president since 2011. The specialty association, which has more than 300 members and is celebrating its 30th anniversary this summer, aims to promote legal scholarship and quality of legal application in sport and law, both nationally and internationally. Thus, every year the VSR organizes scientific lectures and conferences in the field of sports and law.
