Legal Counsel

Arne Al specialises in (inter)national dispute resolution within football, with a special focus on the collection of outstanding payments, in particular FIFA procedures for the FIFA DRC and PSC, including procedures based on Articles 12bis and 14bis of the FIFA regulations on the Status and Transfer of Players. In addition, Arne provides legal assistance with (international) transfers including contract negotiations, the drafting of transfer and representation agreements, employment contracts and termination agreements. Arne also assists organisations in the field of privacy law in a ‘broader’ sense.

Background

Arne obtained his master’s degree in Private Law at Erasmus University Rotterdam. In addition to his bachelor’s degree in law, he also successfully completed his studies in Sports Management. During these studies he completed internships at various sports organizations. During his master’s degree in Private Law, he also did a year-long internship at the legal department of a professional football organisation in the Eredivisie. Arne assisted this professional football organisation, as well as law firms and various organisations within and outside of the sports world, to ensure that they meet the requirements of the AVG.

Arne is a member of the Association for Sports and Law and is an associate member of the Netherlands Society of Data Protection Officers (NGFG).
